Kent, Surrey and Sussex Adult Critical Care Operational Delivery Network May Leadership event

Kent, Surrey and Sussex Adult Critical Care Operational Delivery Network hosted 38 senior critical care nurses to a Network Leadership study event at the Copthorne Effingham hotel on the 10th of May, 2023. The event was facilitated by Dr Jeanne Hardacre, an Organisational Psychologist from Impact4Health Consulting. The sessions at the leadership event ranged from connecting as human beings at work to practical tools and strategies to supporting team dynamics, compassionate leadership and embedding psychological safety at work. Delegates at the event provided feedback on their satisfaction and the relevance of the sessions provided to their development as clinical leaders in critical care.

Kent, Surrey and Sussex Adult Critical Care Operational Delivery Network hosted 36 senior critical care nurses to a Network Leadership study event at the Copthorne Effingham hotel on the 16th of March, 2023. The event was provided following the feedback gained from the Network's 2022 Conference which conveyed the need to support the professional competence of Critical care shift leaders. The topics covered at the leadership event ranged from clinical skills to ensure effective leadership and safety in critical care to topics on resilience, wellbeing and empowering leaders. We are grateful to all the speakers who gave their time in facilitating this leadership event including Clinical Matron Alex Marques Charge Nurse Lorenzo Gacuma Clinical Psychologist Matthew Beadman ACC Lead Nurse for SE region Chrissy Redmond and Clinical Psychologist Amalia Gasson All delegates at the event provided feedback on their satisfaction and relevance of the content of the sessions and communicated that it will be beneficial for future nurse leaders. Consequently, we hope to continue to deliver similar Network leadership events to all critical care healthcare professionals working in units within the Network.

9 attendees from various adult critical care units within the KSS ACC network have concluded a virtual leadership event titled 'Leading in a Pandemic'. This was facilitated by Flt Lt Ronan Ging earlier today, the 10th of March 2023. The event was freely provided to critical care staff within the Network with the aim of improving their skills as Clinical Leaders. Participants related in the evaluation form how relevant and helpful the course is for their critical care leadership role and were reminded of the importance of leading by good example, being approachable and how leadership actions influence practise. We are glad this course has been useful in improving the leadership competence of staff within the Adult critical care units within the Network.

10 attendees from various adult critical care units within the KSS ACC network have concluded a virtual leadership event titled 'Leading in a Pandemic'. This was facilitated by Flt Lt Ronan Ging earlier today. This event was freely provided to critical care staff within the Network with the aim of improving their skills as Clinical Leaders. Delegates have reported the relevance of the course content in supporting their role as a leader in critical care. A delegate provided the following feedback "my future leadership style will be reinforced by the content covered in this session" We look forward to another session on the 10th of March 2023, still to be facilitated by Flt Lt Ging.
