Day 1 Recap
The first day focused on essential skills for critical care Healthcare Assistants and Nurse associates:
Caring for the deteriorating patient
Tracheostomy care
A comprehensive 4-hour session on rehabilitation for critically ill patients
Day two offered a diverse range of topics:
Digital simulation exercises on care of a deteriorating patient, tracheostomy management and skin care
Sustainability practices in critical care
Supporting end of life care plans
Afternoon session on Day 2 focused on self-care strategies for managing stress, building self-compassion, and preventing burnout in the workplace, promoting psychological safety
